All Romance E-books has slashed the price of all my books 50% after rebate. And remember, they have all the formats you need for your various devices, so there’s no reason to miss out on this awesome as hell deal.

Smashwords Signs With Oyster

Well now, isn’t this interesting, at least for indie authors. Smashwords just signed a distribution deal with Oyster. What is Oyster, you ask? Well, it’s like Netflix for e-books. When I first heard about Oyster I wondered if the books would be limited to the Big Six, but apparently not. If Smashwords is in that would presumably mean that indie authors are in as well. Not sure yet what I think of it, but we sure the hell are living in interesting times.

I Imagine Mama

Last night I was going through my iPad and arranging my ebooks. Yes, I was procrastinating, I was supposed to be writing. Anyway, I got to thinking about how much my mama would’ve enjoyed ebooks. I would have set her up a lovely Kindle account and showed her how to download books. And yes, she would’ve bankrupted me because my mama could easily read a book a day! I can see her taking her Kindle to church and showing all her friends, and telling them about her daughter the author. She would be so proud. I, of course, would point out that she probably shouldn’t be showing my “dirty” books to her church friends. And she’d be like, “Christians have sex. Where do you think little Christians come from?”

Oh Mama, I miss you so much.

Heat Ratings

Some of you have commented that Dark Star is not as steamy as some of my more recent offerings. And that is true. Heat ratings are a funny thing, and I really struggle with them. I write the story as it comes to me, and some come in sexier than others. The heat level of Dark Star is probably comparable to that of Rock Star, but I didn’t do that deliberately. I enjoy sweet and spicy books, and like writing both. After all, Morning Star, another Rock Star sequel is very spicy. Super Star, the last of the the “Star” books I have planned is probably going to be hotter as well, but I haven’t started writing it yet, so you never know.
