Remember me kvetching about not being able to find a washable lunchbox for the Luke to take to school? I finally lucked up on this one. The whole thing goes in the top rack of the dishwasher. No more worrying about what godawful bacteria is lurking in my child’s lunchbox. Yeah, it’s pricey, but I wound up buying him two lunchboxes last year, so that was $20 down the drain. Plus, the waste of throwing away something. And I figure he’ll carry this one for several years, it’s virtually indestructible. I like that it has its own coolpak, especially on these hot summer days. I don’t have to worry about his food going bad. The only downside is that there’s no room for a juice box. I don’t put the small containers in and a juice box fits fine. I only make him half a sandwich so a snack size zippy bag filled with goldfish fits into the sandwich container. Another one filled with fruit goes next to the juice box.
I got mine at Amazon, the shipping & handling at the Yubo site is ridiculous. I have Amazon Prime so I was able to get two-day shipping for free.
for yubo lunchbox – eco-friendly, personlized, bpa free, dishwasher safe lunch box.
Hi Roslyn – Here’s another option for a waste-free lunch – My simple EasyLunchbox System is a bento-style, three-compartment container with one lid which fits perfectly into our roomy cooler bag.
And there’s plenty of room to add in a drink, thermos, ice pack or other snacks. Less pieces to wash and keep track of too. No BPA, phthalates, lead, vinyl, or PVC. Sized right for both adults and kids. Affordable and green. http://www.easylunchboxes.com
Those are nice lunchboxes. I love that the cooler is machine washable. I think I’ll pick one up for my husband. They’re really neat.
Thanks Roslyn! 🙂
