  1. I blame Radio One, Viacom and all the major record labels. Respecting black women is no longer important.

  2. Keith Washington…Now didn’t I just love that cd from back in the day…I used to hear it on the black r & b station, but nowadays, the black radio station plays that hip hop garbage…

  3. There’s lots of good r & b out there but you don’t hear it on the radio. I don’t want to sound like a fuddy duddy and lecturing my teenage nieces and nephews how better my music is from theirs. If you want it you gotta buy it yourself and push shuffle on your iPod or iPhone, also there’s Pandora, radio website put in the artist name you get a running radio of all the music similar to that, it’s awesome. Good for the road if you have an iPhone. I love lots of music including hip hop, which I must say was much better back in the day. But I have recently re-discovered my lost r & b roots thanks to my sweetie, who’s a big ol’ Norweigan white boy that snowboards. But I’m having fun re-discovering Guy, SWV, Keith Sweat, Tony Toni Tone, and of course my new stuff Maxwell, Jaheim, Robin Thicke, Jill Scott hey Sade is coming out with a new one next Tuesday now that will be classic no matter what.

  4. I don’t have an iPod or iPhone. I generally only listen to music when I’m in the car, so it’s the radio and there’s a great old school R&B station here. I’ve been waiting for the iPad for five years, so I’m pretty sure I’ll probably get one for my birthday in September. I can’t wait to load up with music I can actually stand to listen to.

  5. Roslyn, when you get that iPad enjoy the luxury of music made just for you. And you’ll never listen to the radio again, ever. I’ll be wishing that birthday wish comes true.
