Thanks to Paper Back Swap my Christmas book basket is shaping up rather nicely. So far I’ve got: How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Twas the Night Before Christmas, A Christmas Carol. There’s a few more I’m on a waitlist for. The Polar Express should be here soon. With any luck they’ll arrive before the holiday. I want to get The Very First Christmas, but the list is very long. I’ll probably order it from Amazon.
Obviously this is something I’ll build over the years, but I think it’s such a clever idea. I’m thinking I might want to add Christmas movies as well. I saw a set of Christmas cartoon DVDs at Target earlier this week. I think I’m going to pick them up, they had all the classics we saw as kids The Year Without Santa Claus (Heat Miser/Snow Miser) was always a major fave in our house. I want The Little Drummer Boy as well. I love, love, love that one, but it hasn’t been digitally restored and looks terrible. I haven’t looked for it this year though, maybe they’ve finally done it.
