Little known fact about me, when I’m tired or bored I become absolutely outrageous to the point of being a danger to myself and others. Seriously, somebody needs to call the folks with the clever little jackets. Fortunately for the state of mankind, I’m rarely bored, but I must have been out of my mind with exhaustion when I wrote this blurb.
Harley’s a nice piece of ass, but he’s also the brand-new star of one of television’s hottest shows, which Andi happens to run. Will Andi compromise her principles after a one night stand and let him lay her down again on the nearest casting couch?
The ridiculous thing is, it’s probably the best blurb I’ve ever written. (Especially since the blurb fairy at Loose Id was kind enough to add the phrase “after a one night stand.”) I love it like damn and whoa, but would never have written it if I’d actually had any sleep.
I’m so excited that it’s coming out Tuesday. Be sure to let me know what you think. Pussycat didn’t do as well as I’d anticipated. I’m hoping to redeem myself with this one. I’m beginning to suspect that I have two different cadres of readers. One group loves the action/adventure stories while the other wants the celebrity romances. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, especially since Dark Star will combine both.
Santa Baby is firing on all cylinders. It won’t let me sleep which is my best indicator of a hot story. Even when I go to bed scenes are burning through my head and the first thing I want to do in the morning is start typing even before I’ve had tea because I’m afraid I’ll lose something. (There are very few things I do before tea in the morning.) At 2:30 this morning I wrote a sex scene that’s so hot it’s going to blow y’all away. I can’t wait until you guys see this.
What a great blurb.
I sure hope that it becomes available in print real soon!!!!
I hope so too, Wendy.
Congratulations on the release, and best of luck with your deadline for Santa Baby. I recall the submissions call for stories based on holiday carols. I wanted to submit but was in the middle of deadline hell at the time. I assume this is one of those stories?
Yes, it’s called Jingle Bell Rock if I’m remembering correctly. I think it’s going to be really cool.
Didn’t read blurb, just ran over to loose id and purchased mine. Goodness, can’t wait to read, but have to tell ya, was wondering who the heck Harley was, so will have to flip through Rock Star again.
Thanks and keep em coming!
Your fan
Thanks so much cccH. I appreciate it. Be sure to let me know how you like it. Thanks again.
Can you remind us of who Harley was from Rock Star? I’m glad to see too, that Rock Star sold so many copies!
Regards,
PVW
Harley is Bryan’s best friend who did the ‘Chasdity’ skit on Saturday Night Live.
Is the book out Roslyn?
Yes, Morning Star was released on Tuesday and is available from Loose Id.
Off to buy Morning star! I enjoyed Rock star and yes the intimate scenes were hot! LOL!
Can’t wait to see what the sequel is like.
Thanks Lili, be sure to let me know what you think.
I just finished Morning Star–great book. Nice overlap in the places where you made reference to Morning Star–parts of the story take place at the same time. I loved the way you get into the aspects of the setting–what it means to be a writer in Hollywood–you must have done a lot of research! I liked the twists and turns involving Andi and her boss, the ties to her mom. I had this image in my mind of a younger George Lucas and a much younger Melody Hobson “back in the day”!
Thanks!
