Wrote a mind-blowing scene for Pussycat Death Squad last night. I usually struggle with sex scenes, but this one flowed rather well. I didn’t really have a good sense of these characters prior to writing this scene. That’s never happened to me before. Usually my characters talk to me in my head until I have to write their stories to get them to shut up. Lelia and Patrick are oddly silent, EXCEPT when it came to the sex scene. Oh, so it’s like that, huh? I get the impression that with these two it’s all about the nookie. 

It was two o’clock in the morning and I was in here laughing like crazy because all of a sudden I could hear them loud and clear. I wonder if I’ll hear from them outside of the bedroom? At the very least, they’re very interesting. I’m almost half-way through Pussycat. I’ve set a personal deadline of Thanksgiving, but I don’t think I’ll make it. I’m going to Florida, and maybe I’ll get lucky, even so, I should be finished shortly after that. 

I’ve already started some soft editing, but right after I finish it I’ll start hard edits to get it ready for my publisher. If y’all are good I might post an excerpt. If you’re really good it might even be the scene I wrote last night! *grin* 

I don’t know who the guy in the picture is, but he’s my male inspiration for Patrick. Patrick’s got chestnut hair, though and of course as he’s a Marine, it’s significantly shorter. I don’t really have a visual on Lelia, yet. I know what she looks like, but just haven’t found a celebrity who resembles her. When I do, I’ll post it.

ETA: The actor is Hrithik Roshan. He’s Indian and apparently a big name in Bollywood. I never would’ve guessed he was Indian, but he’s a dead ringer for how I imagined Patrick. Lelia looks like Naomi Campbell. I found some old notes and realized she was my inspiration. I love her heart-shaped face.
