One day I’m going to write a book entitled, Everything I Ever Needed to Know I Learned in Boot Camp. Everyone knows that the military is infamous for rushing you to do something, then you sit around and wait to actually do it. Well, publishing is a lot like that. You drive yourself to exhaustion to get a partial ready, then sit on pins and needles waiting to see if anyone wants it. Of course, for neurotics like myself, it really is death by a thousand cuts. All I can think is that she must really, really hate it for it to take this long to get a response. Never mind that she’s only had it since TUESDAY. Yes, this past Tuesday. (Shut up, Lisa!) (Yes, Luke, I know I’m not supposed to say shut up!) Did I mention that I’m neurotic?
